An asset is a reusable file, model, media item, document, dataset, or deliverable connected to a place or workflow. Assets give the platform a durable way to attach digital material to real-world context.
Assets may be related to places, projects, spatial views, media capture, model metadata, or future delivery workflows. The important pattern is that assets should not float without context. They are most useful when users can understand what place, project, version, or spatial layer they support.
Versioning is part of the broader asset language. As files and models evolve, SnS should make it clear which version is current, which versions are historical, and which assets are intended as deliverables.
