Structures

A structure is a physical building or constructed object associated with a place. Structures provide a middle layer between the place as a whole and the smaller spaces, assets, or work items inside it.

Why Structures Matter

Many places are too complex to manage as a single flat record. Structures make it possible to group work by building, dock, facility, unit group, or other physical subdivision.

This helps editors, maps, spatial overlays, and future twin views show users where work and assets belong inside the larger place.

Boundaries

A structure should describe physical organization. It should not replace a place, project, asset, or space. Those concepts stay separate so the model can support both simple sites and more detailed spatial workflows.
