Place is the central SnS concept. It represents a real-world location that can be viewed, described, searched, edited, mapped, and connected to operational records.
Most platform workflows should preserve place context. When users move from maps to editors, projects, assets, or spatial views, the place is the anchor that keeps the work understandable.
Current SnS editor patterns use place-focused state and services to load records, track selection, filter lists, and coordinate detail views. The Place editor follows the broader DatEditor pattern of head, list, detail, and foot regions backed by scoped state.
