Geo DTOs

Geo DTOs are lightweight transport shapes used to move spatial data between state, components, provider interop, and JavaScript modules. They keep spatial payloads explicit and provider-aware only where needed.

Common DTO Concepts

  • Positions represent latitude and longitude coordinates.
  • Bounds describe map extents and fitting behavior.
  • Polygons, circles, and GeoJSON DTOs describe geometry and spatial overlays.
  • Place marker DTOs connect place records to map display behavior.

Boundary

DTOs should not accumulate business rules. They should describe data being passed across component, service, or provider boundaries. Workflow decisions belong in state and services.
